Spring Newsletter…

This year has been incredibly busy so far for both Fun Phonics Spain & Jolly Learning Ltd with Jolly Learning being sh0rtlisted for the IPG – Independent Publishing Awards and myself with back-to-back training events since the beginning of the new school year (and with a full schedule, it shows no sign of abating!).
I have had the pleasure of working with many schools, teachers and language schools over the past few months, including Elian´s British Schools in Castellón de la Plana and La Nucía in Alicante, Jolly Academy in Novelda, Colegio Beata Filipina in Madrid, Colegio Luis Vives in Palma de Mallorca, Topclass Academy in Aranda de Duero, my beauties at BFIS in Barcelona and many more…I also have training events coming up soon with the
MEC in Melilla (March) , CEP de Palma in April and May and will be collaborating with the students from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos who have taken the bull by the horns and organised their own private training event at the Madrid campus. Exciting times!
If your school is interested in doing an
in-house training course then please feel free to contact me anytime and I will be more than happy to talk to you anytime about organising an event.
I would also encourage schools to consider inviting teachers or neighbouring schools in their local area to participate in training sessions, making the cost of courses a more econimical option when necessary.
Every little helps! And lastly, in order to avoid disappointment,  I would advise schools to make their bookings as well in advance as possible

From April 2017 I will be taking reservations for 2017-2018.
Don´t wait till it´s too late!

Funding? Jolly Good!
This year I have also had the absolute pleasure of working with the Local Education Authorities (CTIF) who kindly organised training on synthetic phonics training in October for teachers here in Madrid.

CEIP Gabriel García Marquez and CEIP Maestro Padilla (Madrid) also applied for training for their staff, which meant that these sessions were funded by the Consejeria.

For the many teachers who have asked me about in-house training on a budget, I would highly recommend that you keep your beady eyes out next term for news via the LEAs in your area who are willing to provide training and support for schools.

Your school or teachers may also be entitled to funding via the Fundación Estatal (Tripartita) and to find out more, you will need to contact them directly and as a self-employed and independent teacher trainer and literacy consultant, I am fully registered with the F.E and can provide the «Declaración Responsable» as and when required.

It is so worth doing for a just a little bit your time and a little bit of paperwork
